SLONline is a software company focused on web projects and mobile applications.
During 10 years of our existence, we have created many interesting projects for typography companies, successful e-commerce solutions, and iOS applications that optimize the work processes of many people every day.
Our know-how and experiences with solutions for typography companies and studios make us one of the most skilled developers in this area in the world.
We are looking forward to your ideas, dreams, and cooperation on your projects.
We have started our work on projects for typography with Typotheque and project typotheque.com more than 10 years ago.
Thanks to our dear friend and mentor Peter Biľak we could be part of many interesting projects and we could be pioneering some new features and standards for online solutions for typography.
We continued on cooperation with other foundries in the world - e.g. Indian Type Foundry, TPTQ Arabic, DS Type,...
... and we developed complete online solution and backend for Fontstand.
During the years we have been getting requests from all over the world. This was the reason why we decided to develop a unique and complex solution for type foundries - Elefont.
The word "SLON" means "elephant" in the Slovak language.
It is quite difficult to find the company name. But, as usual, children are the best inspiration... We were inspired by little girl Vesna, who loves elephants.
Vesna and her love of these beautiful, sensitive, and intelligent animals inspired us to choose the company name.
It is a combination of the Slovak word "SLON" and the English word "line". In its core the keyword "online" is also hidden - but, believe it or not, it was just a coincidence.
Poachers kill one elephant every 15 minutes for their ivory. It is cruel, senseless, greedy trade. That's why we try to do something to save these wonderful, intelligent, sensitive, and caring animals.
We have fostered nine elephant orphans from The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's orphanage:
Kamok, Tumaren, Mbegu, Maisha, Naseku, Ambo, Malkia, Mwashoti and Maktao.
We also spread information and support some other organizations around the world.
Please, save the elephants with us!
